Challenge
Our client wanted the lower level of their lake view residence redesigned to complement the design of the main floor and infuse a casual and sophisticated night club feel. A home theatre and game room were envisioned along with a wine cellar/tasting room. Outdated finish materials and woodwork, low ceiling heights and narrow hallways were all in need of rework and creative attention to detail to make their vision a reality.
Solution
Retaining most of the original structure the function of the spaces were changed to accommodate the theatre accessed through a pair of barn doors, game room with full wet bar, pool table and TV monitors for sports event viewing, and a 117 SF wine cellar with custom blackened steel wine rack ladders. Each room has its own character developed within the overall theme of contemporary-rustic. An earth toned color pallet creates a cozy atmosphere, perfect for all season entertaining.
